Wang Zengqi once said his goal of writing was just to "send a little warm to the world", and his "paintings are just to express his feelings. Most of the paintings are about 'sweer springs', which is the joy of life". But in fact, his literary works are well-polished; his paintings are of unique taste, always giving out a sense of leisure and liveliness, though they are often about common plants and birds.
